Getting to Volos
Flying to Volos airport:
Volos airport lies just 30 minutes from the port of Volos.
Easyjet no longer fly from the UK to Volos. We are hoping that this will change in 2025.
There are flights to Volos (Nea Anchialos) airport from several European airports.
Flying to Skiathos airport:
There are many flights to Skiathos airport throughout the summer from many European countries
The ferry to Volos, booking with Ferries.gr takes 2hours 15 minutes to or the hydrofoil (flying Dolphin) takes just over 1 hour.
The course ends on Thursday evening and you will stay on the boat in Volos. You can then either travel to Skiathos on Friday and Spend the night in Skiathos before flying back, or enjoy a night out in Volos on Friday and catch the early ferry to Skiathos, arriving in time for your flight home.
Flying to Thessaloniki airport:
Thessaloniki has regular flights from the UK and many other European airports.
Transfers to Volos:
By bus: a short taxi ride to the Ktel bus station
2 hour 30 minute bus ride in an air-conditioned bus, passing the spectacular Mount Olympus to Volos.

You can book a bus ticket and the ticket will be open/transferable.
Hire a car:
If your party numbers 2 or more, you may find it more cost-effective to hire a car from Thessaloniki airport and leave it in the free parking at Volos harbour.
Taxi to Volos:
We can arrange a local taxi driver to pick you up from Thessaloniki airport and drive you to Volos.
The cost of this is about €180.

Athens has regular flights from all over the world
Transfer to Volos:
Take a taxi from the airport to the bus station making sure to get the right station for buses to Volos: Athens-Liosia Station (Rikaki 6).
