A comprehensive introduction to cruising for inexperienced skippers, the RYA Day Skipper Shorebased course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included to introduce you to night cruising.

This course is delivered by Navathome.com, an RYA recognized training centre specialising in online training.

The contract for the course is between Navathome.com and the student.

The course has a 6 month access period with an admin fee to extend.

Course content: 

Charts and Publications, engine checks, tidal awareness, pilotage, anchoring, passage planning, safety, buoyage, visual and electronic navigation, rules of the road, weather forecasts.

Included in the price:

Delivery of the RYA Day Skipper theory pack, mini radar simulator. Instructor support from 0800 to 2100 seven days a week from full time RYA instructors that are there when you need them.
